Cutting and wastage
When planning your tiling project, it’s crucial to consider factors that may impact the quantity of tiles needed. To ensure a seamless installation, we recommend ordering an extra amount to account for:
Cutting: Tiles may need to be cut to fit corners, edges, or irregular spaces. Having a surplus ensures you have enough material for these adjustments.
Wastage: Some tiles may break or chip during transportation, handling, or installation. Including extra tiles minimizes the impact of such unforeseen occurrences.
To determine the appropriate quantity, consult with your installer and consider the layout of your space. Ordering a surplus typically ranging from 10-15% of the total needed is a prudent practice.
